Burnsville, Minnesota-based Straight Line Customs was in charge of the build, and the company also had to create a motorized handicap chair on the passenger side, which turned out to be 'one of the biggest challenges' they ever faced. Luckily, they prevailed.

There's a common expression among people of a certain age, including about cars: "they don't make them like they used to." Usually, that means newer models are significantly more complicated and less reliable than their simpler predecessors. However, this tagline goes both ways - sometimes you can take a car from the past and make it even better than its modern counterparts.

In my opinion, that's the soul of a restomod - it preserves the old-school atmosphere, which usually evokes fond memories for the driver, owner, and/or family; yet everything is updated for the 21st century and beyond. As such, it sometimes achieves the 'best of both worlds.' And sometimes it also has a heartfelt story hidden inside.

If you need an example, that's the case right here with this 1967 Chevrolet Nova, a second-generation compact model that used to belong in the no-frills category. However, this restomod, dubbed for good reasons 'CasaNova,' is pretty much the equivalent of a Rolls-Royce for the Nova model line. Most of it is bespoke, including the Brandywine exterior filled with Gold accents, and especially what's hidden inside.

On the outside, the lowered, custom ride impresses with the ritzy combination of gold and burgundy - and it also gets a cool set of black-and-gold Forgeline DE3C wheels tucked in front of the Baer Brakes. It's going to need them, as the '67 Chevy Nova is a veritable monster thanks to the Wegner Automotive LSX V8 engine, complete with signature lid and valve covers, which is capable of churning out no less than 1,000 horsepower from this cool LS swap.

Now, let's move inside, where the tan and black interior is headlined not by the driver's seat, but rather the passenger's - it's a custom build designed to help a disabled person enjoy the ride. The good folks over at Straight Line Customs found a 250-lb motor that required four people to lift and created a swiveling bucket seat to make ingress and egress a bit easier for a person with disabilities.

Of course, it has already started amassing various trophies at shows around the nation!
