Do you need another car, some tires, office furniture or a case of wasp spray?

Well upcoming auctions by Middlesex County and Edison Township just might be the places to do your shopping.

Middlesex County will be hosting two online public auctions this month, featuring a variety of surplus items, including office furniture, equipment, vehicles, and construction materials.

The Building 216 Auction will include surplus office equipment, furniture, and other miscellaneous items no longer required by Middlesex County, and the Central Vehicle Complex Auction will feature vehicles, buses, and construction equipment.

Among the items featured for the Building 216 Auction are a 1995 golf cart, tires, rolling tool boxes, office furniture and chairs, file cabinets and park benches.

The items for the Central Vehicle Complex Auction have not yet been posted on the website.

All bidding and viewing will be conducted online at www.usgovbid.com (direct auction links will be available once each auction opens) and payments will be made via wire transfer, overnight cashier's check, or certified check by FedEx.

The auction for the Building 216 items begins at 9 a.m. Oct. 11, with in-person inspection and preview from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 14-15 at the Middlesex County warehouse at Middlesex College, Building 216, 2600 Woodbridge Ave., Edison. The auction closes at 6 p.m. Oct. 15 and pickup dates are Oct. 16-17 and 20.

The Central Vehicle Complex Auction opens at 9 a.m. Oct. 25 with in-person inspection and preview 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Oct. 27 and 28 at Route 130 and Apple Orchard Road in North Brunswick. The auction closes at 6 p.m. Oct. 30 and pickup dates are Nov. 5-6.

Edison Township will be auctioning 33 vehicles at 11 a.m. Oct. 14 in the council chambers on the second floor of the Edison Municipal Complex, 100 Municipal Blvd., Edison.

The vehicles have come into the township possession after being abandoned or the owners failed to claim and have them duly processed.

The vehicles include a 2011 BMW 335, a 2001 Lincoln Town Car, 2018 Audi Q7, 2009 Ford Econoline, 2024 Lincoln Nautilus, a 2023 Ford F-150XLT, 2005 Mercedes Benz E500, 2014 GMC pickup truck, along with several Nissan, Toyota, Hyundai, and Dodge vehicles.

The vehicles will be available for inspection from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on the day of the auction at the Edison Township Municipal Impound Yard, 371 Meadow Road, Edison. Directions to the impound yard can be obtained by emailing MWinters@EdisonPD.org.

Payment is due at the time of the sale and can be made in cash or certified check.

All vehicles must be removed within three business days after the sale. Vehicles must be removed from the impound lot with a tow truck or flatbed. No other means of transportation will be allowed.
