6:53 p.m.: A woman reported two vehicles speeding on the 18000 block of Colorado Highway 145 near Dolores. Deputies stopped a black pickup and a silver sedan. The sedan's driver, a man, was cited for speeding (86 mph in a 60 mph zone).

10:57 p.m.: A woman reported hearing possible gunshots near the 18400 block of Colorado Highway 145 in Dolores. Deputies investigated at a nearby residence and found spent firework debris. It was determined the noise came from fireworks, not gunfire.

7:46 a.m.: Deputies responded to a report of found property at a business on the 23800 block of Road G near Cortez. An employee discovered a green mountain bike left by a fence. Deputies found no record of it being stolen at the time. The bike's owner later reported it stolen from a pawn shop, and it was returned to the owner. No suspect was identified.

9:19 a.m.: Deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident on the 19800 block of Colorado Highway 145 near Dolores, where a pickup truck had gone off the road into the Dolores River. Bystanders helped the driver, a man, out of the vehicle; no serious injuries were reported. Colorado State Patrol troopers later arrested the driver on suspicion of impaired driving.

6:45 p.m.: Deputies responded to a reported crash on the 11500 block of Colorado Highway 145 near Cortez. A southbound Dodge Durango braked suddenly to avoid a dog on the road, and a Jeep behind it skidded into a minor rear-end collision. Three vehicles stopped at the scene. No one was injured, and all parties moved their vehicles off the road. Colorado State Patrol arrived and took over the investigation.

8:06 p.m.: Deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding on the 30100 block of U.S. Highway 160 near Cortez. The driver, a man, was given a verbal warning. The passenger, a man, was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Weld County. Deputies arrested the passenger on the warrant and transported him to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

1:35 p.m.: Deputies served an arrest warrant on a woman at the Montezuma County Detention Center on E. Driscoll St. in Cortez. The woman, who was already in custody, was informed of the warrant (a Colorado State Patrol case) and remained in the detention center's custody without incident.

9:25 p.m.: Deputies stopped a silver Toyota 4Runner at the intersection of Road G and Road 24.2 near Cortez for an expired registration. The driver, a man, did not have a valid driver's license or proof of insurance. He was issued a summons for driving without a valid license, no insurance, and expired plates, and was released at the scene.

11:10 a.m.: Deputies responded to the Montezuma County Combined Courts on the 800 block of N. Park St. in Cortez for a court-ordered remand. A man's bond was revoked by a judge, and he was remanded into custody for violating release conditions. Deputies transported the man to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

4:42 p.m.: Deputies assisted with a report of a vehicle off the road in the 26000 block of Road H near Cortez. A silver sedan had slid into a ditch; it was not a crash with another vehicle. The driver, a man, was suspected to be intoxicated. Colorado State Patrol troopers handled the investigation, and the case was closed as an agency assist.

11:58 p.m.: Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on the 41300 block of Colorado Highway 184 near Mancos. A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend, a man, punched and broke a car window during an argument. The car belonged to the man, and no threats or injuries were reported. Deputies determined no crime was committed, and the case was closed as unfounded.

2:43 p.m.: Deputies responded to the Montezuma County Combined Courts (800 block of N. Park St. in Cortez) for an individual remanded by the court. A man was taken into custody from the courtroom, required medical clearance at the hospital, and was then booked into the Montezuma County Detention Center.
