Toyota has teased three intriguing models at today's "New Project" event, but none of them is the much-anticipated GR GT supercar.

The event was broadcast live on Toyota Times and consisted of a friendly TV show-type discussion between Toyota Motor Corporation chairman Akio Toyota, Toyota chief branding officer Simon Humphries and other guests from the advertising industry. The main goal of the event was to present new commercials for the Toyota, Lexus, Century and Daihatsu brands, and preview some of the models that will be introduced at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 later this month.

Toyota Corolla Concept Previews The Boldest Corolla Ever

The Toyota commercial is titled "To You" and it features a wide range of past and current Toyota vehicles being used in a variety of scenarios by their owners. It's the sort of "mission statement" commercial that highlights the breadth of Toyota's offering and how it's shaping the lives of people from all over the world.

The big surprise comes at the end of the commercial, when a striking new Toyota vehicle appears. Branded as the Corolla Concept, the sedan features an all-new design that doesn't have much in common with the current Corolla, with key features including the coupe-like profile, full-width LED light bars front and rear, and aggressive bumpers that wouldn't look out of place on a GR-branded performance car.

We can also spot a charging port door on the driver's side front bumper, which hints that it is either a fully electric car or a plug-in hybrid. However, the absence of any visible tailpipes at the rear (although they may be hidden) leads us to believe this is actually a battery electric vehicle.

This concept will debut at the Japan Mobility Show, and it's said to preview a production model that is currently under development. That's exciting stuff and very important for Toyota, as the Corolla is the world's best-selling car nameplate of all time. The automaker isn't allowed to get this wrong, to put it mildly.

Monumental Century Coupe

Moving on to the Century brand, the commercial titled "One of One" shows an imposing high-riding luxury coupe with a stately design. Toyota does not mention its name, and we don't know if it's a concept or a production model. That said, the fact that it features massive sliding doors may indicate it is a design study.

The super luxury coupe features Century's current design cues, such as the split headlights and taillights, as well the traditional grille, which appears to be painted in the same color as the body.

It seems to be a massive car, although there's nothing in the video that allows us to size it up against. That's about all we can say about this spectacular vehicle so far, but we'll learn more about it on October 29 when the Japan Mobility Show opens its gates. Besides the Toyota and Century concepts, the show will also host the world debut of a very intriguing six-wheel Lexus LS minivan concept and a tiny utility EV from Daihatsu.
