The relocation of Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries employees moving to Busan began on the 5th.

The Busan Metropolitan Government announced that starting today, it will begin housing Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries employees in 100 official residences prepared by the city in preparation for the ministry's relocation to Busan.

The city had previously signed lease agreements for 100 units, including apartments and officetels, through the Busan Urban Corporation on the 28th of last month.

Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon is scheduled to visit an official residence in Yangjeong-dong, Busanjin-gu, this afternoon to hold a welcome event for two Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries families moving in.

The target for the official residences are Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries employees relocating to Busan with their families.

To ensure the ministry's swift relocation, the city prioritized resolving the 100 official residences as a top task, coordinating with the Korea Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation, Busan Urban Corporation, and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries to determine locations.

The 100 official residences are located in a newly built complex consisting of apartments and officetels in Yangjeong-dong, Busanjin-gu. The city explained that the location offers accessibility, allowing a commute of approximately 20 minutes to the ministry's temporary office in Sujeong-dong, Dong-gu, and is near elementary schools.

The official residences consist of 83 apartment units and 17 officetel units, each with a dedicated area of 70-76 square meters.

According to a preliminary demand survey and housing application results, 136 Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries employees applied for the 100 official residences supply plan.

Mayor Park said, "We will support them to settle down comfortably and stably in Busan."
