Ferrari has officially revealed the production-ready chassis and components of its first all-electric supercar, the Ferrari Elettrica, marking a historic moment in the brand's 77-year journey. Revealed during the company's Capital Markets Day 2025, the Elettrica represents the pinnacle of Ferrari's multi-energy strategy that spans internal combustion, hybrid, and now fully electric propulsion. The electric supercar will be unveieled next year.

The Elettrica promises to deliver the unmistakable Ferrari thrill, blending electrification with the brand's legendary craftsmanship, engineering precision, and driving emotion. Built entirely in-house at Maranello, the car incorporates over 60 patented technologies, setting new standards for sustainability, performance, and innovation.

The Elettrica's chassis and bodyshell are crafted using 75% recycled aluminium, saving around 6.7tonnes of CO per car. Its architecture features short overhangs, a low-slung driving position close to the front axle, and a fully integrated battery floor that lowers the centre of gravity by 80 mm compared to a comparable ICE Ferrari.

For the first time, Ferrari has designed a separate rear subframe, engineered to cut cabin noise and vibration while maintaining the rigidity and dynamic precision that define the Prancing Horse.

The car also debuts Ferrari's third-generation 48V active suspension system, delivering exceptional ride comfort, control, and cornering balance through real-time force distribution across all four wheels.

The Elettrica is powered by two electric axles developed entirely at Maranello, featuring four synchronous permanent magnet motors equipped with Formula 1-derived Halbach array rotors. The front axle produces 210 kW with 93% peak efficiency and a power density of 3.23kW/kg, while the rear axle delivers 843bhp and an extraordinary 4.8kW/kg density.

Combined, the system produces over 1,000bhp in boost mode, enabling the Elettrica to sprint from 0-100kmph in just 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 310kmph.

The front inverter, fully integrated within the axle and weighing just 9kg, channels up to 300kW of power. Ferrari engineers also developed a novel "Torque Shift Engagement" system, offering five selectable torque and power levels for progressive, continuous acceleration, maintaining Ferrari's hallmark sensation of relentless thrust.

Ferrari's in-house designed battery achieves 195Wh/kg, the highest energy density of any electric car to date. With 210 cells arranged across 15 modules, the pack provides a gross capacity of 122kWh and a range exceeding 530km. Built structurally into the chassis, it enhances stiffness, safety, and weight balance (47% front / 53% rear).

The 800V system supports 350 kW DC fast charging, while proprietary cooling and protection systems ensure durability and serviceability, in line with Ferrari's "built-for-life" philosophy.

In a defining innovation, Ferrari engineers have created a unique mechanical acoustic signature -- not a synthetic sound. A precision accelerometer captures the natural vibrations of the electric drivetrain, amplifying them through the car's structure much like the resonance of a guitar, providing genuine aural feedback linked to driver inputs.

While the reveal focuses on the car's engineering, Ferrari confirmed that the interior design preview will take place in early 2026, followed by the world premiere in spring 2026, when the full Elettrica, the embodiment of Ferrari's future -- will be unveiled.

With the Elettrica, Ferrari enters the electric age not by compromise, but by evolution, staying true to its DNA of emotion, performance, and innovation. From the pioneering HY-KERS concept in 2010 to the SF90 Stradale and now the Elettrica, Ferrari's journey toward electrification reflects its commitment to redefining driving pleasure for the next generation.
