The Federation of OMR Residents Associations (FOMRRA) has announced a new initiative aimed at addressing a recurring challenge faced by its member Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) -- evaluating the real performance of Facility Management Service (FMS) providers.

Every year, as new office bearers are elected, RWAs across OMR are faced with repeated questions on whether existing FMS vendors are delivering on their promises or if better options are available. Members often turn to the FOMRRA WhatsApp groups, seeking clarity on facility management agencies, yet answers remain scattered and anecdotal. To bring structure and transparency to this process, FOMRRA has launched a comprehensive FMS Vendor Survey -- https://fms.fomrra.org

The purpose of this survey is to collect feedback from office bearers in member associations about their experiences with current vendors. By consolidating this input, the survey aims to help communities:

- Understand how different FMS vendors are performing across Chennai, especially OMR.

- Benchmark service quality and value delivered.

- Make better-informed decisions when it comes to renewing contracts or selecting new partners.

- Strengthen the collective voice of RWAs in negotiating fairer service levels and costs.

FOMRRA has also emphasised that individual responses will remain confidential. Only consolidated results will be shared with member office bearers, ensuring privacy while still offering collective insights.

The outcome of this initiative will be a consolidated vendor performance report, empowering RWAs to compare vendors, assess value for money, and make decisions with greater clarity and confidence.

Speaking about the initiative, FOMRRA co-founder Harsha Koda said, "Our aim is to give RWAs a clear and reliable reference point when it comes to facility management. This effort is about shifting from guesswork to informed choices and helping office bearers serve their communities better."

With this initiative, FOMRRA continues its mission of enabling RWAs to collaborate, share knowledge, and collectively raise the quality of life across the OMR corridor.
