Collaboration with London Stock Exchange Group marks start of AI-driven revenue generation

LG Group's large language model (LLM) Exaone has been introduced for financial market data analysis and future predictions by the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). LG plans to begin full-scale revenue generation using AI (artificial intelligence) starting with this initiative.

LG AI Research, LG Group's AI think tank, announced on the 21st that it held an event on the 19th, local time, at the London Stock Exchange to mark the commencement of the commercial service for its financial AI agent 'Exaone Business Intelligence' in collaboration with the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG).

LSEG is a leading British financial company in global financial infrastructure and data, operating the London Stock Exchange. Its core business involves providing vast amounts of financial market data and analyzed materials to global investors.

LSEG is introducing LG AI Research's financial AI agent 'Exaone-BI' into this core business. Exaone-BI serves as a financial AI agent that performs the entire process from data analysis to future predictions and report generation without human intervention.

While there have been previous instances of financial AI services, they were often limited to auxiliary uses such as low-accuracy reports or summaries.

LG AI Research designed Exaone-BI with a structure where four AI agents specializing in roles such as △AI journalist △AI economist △AI analyst △AI decision-maker collaborate. Exaone-BI can integrate vast amounts of text and numerical data, enabling analysis, predictions, and provision of decision-making grounds across all sectors and industries. LSEG will sell a data product called AEFS (AI-Powered Equity Forecast Score), created using scores and reports predicted by Exaone-BI, to global investors.

Lim Woo-hyung, co-head researcher at LG AI Research, emphasized, "Exaone-BI, which combines LG's prediction technology and AI agent technology, will evolve into an advanced AI expert service where each specialist agent collaborates to demonstrate collective intelligence." He added, "The collaboration with LSEG proves the value and competitiveness of LG's vertical AI technology in the global market and marks the beginning of full-scale revenue generation using AI."

Todd Hartman, head of LSEG's Data and Feeds Group, stated, "This collaboration is an opportunity for innovation that supports customers' decision-making by providing reliable data and creates greater value across the financial ecosystem." He continued, "The partnership with LG signifies a new beginning, and AI will play a key role in providing better opportunities for global investors, from predictions to decision-making support, moving forward."

LG Launches Exaone Financial AI Agent in UK Market
