IVE member showcases versatile acting, ad-libs, cementing 'variety idol' status ahead of group's world tour

An Yu-jin concluded her role as a player with the final episode of 'Crime Scene Zero', titled 'Casino Boss Murder Case', which was recently released.

In 'Crime Scene Zero', An Yu-jin captivated viewers from the first episode with her perfectly tailored hard-carrying performance. She tracked clues by actively investigating the scene, and depending on the case, she flawlessly transformed into various characters such as a doctor, dancer, casino VVIP, and detective, delivering nuanced emotional expressions and dramatic twist performances.

Particularly, An Yu-jin immersed viewers instantly with her clear-eyed yet subtly manic gaze and detailed expressions. Even when unfavorable evidence emerged, she nonchalantly brushed it off, and her acting -- spanning characters from their 20s to 50s -- drew admiration for its depth.

An Yu-jin also showed exceptional passion in finding decisive clues to solve the mystery. Her boldness in thoroughly examining the victim's body and her relentless effort to identify the culprit until the end heightened immersion, while her meticulous analysis of minor hints and objects intensified the case's tension.

Additionally, amid highly tense situations, she performed an unaccompanied dance while staying in character, and quipped, "I don't look like it, but I was born in 1969. People often say I look like I'm in my 20s," eliciting laughter with her natural acting and ad-libs. She also refreshed the atmosphere with witty remarks, adding to the show's entertainment value.

An Yu-jin, who earned the title "Reasoning Prodigy" through last year's 'Crime Scene Returns', was selected for the female idol variety star category at the '2025 Brand Customer Loyalty Awards' in May, proving her presence both on and off stage. In 'Crime Scene Zero', she further solidified her position as a "confirmed variety idol" by driving the program's fun with upgraded reasoning skills and flawless role-playing.
