Channel 4 fans have been gripped by a new Dutch thriller that 'keeps you guessing' and is available to stream for free.

Originally released in 2023, Incognito is a six-part series that centres around an undercover agent who goes on a mission to find out if a woman is a simple bookkeeper or a high-level criminal.

The story gets off to a dramatic start when agent Agent Felix Hartman is rescued from drowning by accountant Liz Berg.

But while this would make her a hero in the eyes of most, it's not long before she comes under suspicion from Agent Felix.

The Channel 4 synopsis reads: 'Tasked with uncovering whether she is, in fact, a dangerous crime lord cloaked in normality, he embeds himself in her everyday routines.

'[He is] watching, listening, waiting until the investigation spirals into a deadly dance between truth and betrayal, where one wrong step could cost them both everything.'

The broadcaster described the show as a 'great drama', which 'left us feeling perpetually on the edge of our seat'.

The series was praised by The Guardian for having a 'premise that keeps you guessing' even if its plot is not entirely original.

Incognito also has a promising score on IMBd, where viewers have rated it 6.5 out of 10.

While it received just two stars from the Dutch publication Serietotaal magazine, its reviewer admitted that the show does 'eventually draw you in'.

The publication admitted: 'The dialogue is clumsy, but the actors manage to deliver it naturally, which creates interest in the plot.'

Although the series is in Dutch, there are subtitles to ensure that English-speaking viewers can follow along without a problem.

The series ends on a cliffhanger, so it might not be a watch for you if you don't like complete endings.

Actor Dragan Bakema, who plays agent Felix, however, said that he is keen to film a second series.

Incognito is not the only foreign language thriller to capture the attention of British audiences in 2025.

A French hidden gem thriller has been hailed as 'one of the best crime dramas ever' and some viewers have 'binge-watched' every episode.

Eight-episode French drama series, The Disappearance, premiered back in 2016 and is available to stream on Prime Video.
