95-Minute Special Concludes KBS Drama's Intense Standoff and Emotional Climax Tonight

The final episode of the KBS 2TV weekend mini-series "Walking On Thin Ice" (directed by Song Hyun-wook / written by Jeon Young-shin / produced by Baram Pictures·Slingshot Studio), airing today (26th) at 9:20 p.m., depicts Jang Tae-goo (played by Park Yong-woo) becoming a fugitive amid police and media pursuit.

Earlier, Tae-goo, driven by obsession over his son and greed for money, committed senseless crimes. During transport, he shot a fellow officer and escaped, ultimately pointing a gun at Kang Eun-soo (Lee Young-ae) and Park Do-jin (Bae Soo-bin), triggering a horrific tragedy. As Tae-goo's scheme exposed James's true identity as Lee Kyung (Kim Young-kwang), Twoen Group heir Kang Hwi-rim (Do Sang-woo) reported it to the police. With revenge within reach, Lee Kyung is arrested at the scene, facing a life-or-death crisis. The final episode will reveal how the three characters' destinies unfold.

Stills released ahead of the finale show Eun-soo, Lee Kyung, and Tae-goo in a final standoff. Tae-goo, who previously fired at Eun-soo and Do-jin and fled, is now out of control. Eun-soo proposes a dangerous deal, exploiting Tae-goo's weakness -- his distorted love for his son and endless desires.

However, Tae-goo, having lost his sanity, rampages indiscriminately and takes Eun-soo hostage. In a moment of despair, anger, and fear, viewers' tension peaks as the three characters' fates hang in the balance.

In another still, Eun-soo clutches a weapon, tears and despair in her eyes, staring at someone. Lee Kyung's desperate expression as he grabs her foreshadows an unbelievable twist. The clash between protecting family, completing revenge, and obsession spiraling into madness creates breathless tension.

The production team stated, "The final episode concludes the sins and choices of all characters. The key point is how those who fought in their own ways -- for family, love, or desire -- ultimately meet their ends," adding, "A 95-minute non-stop suspense, explosion of emotions, and a heavy aftereffect will accompany."
