A Married At First Sight UK bride was left speechless after her husband dropped a bombshell confession that completely blindsided her.

The current series of the popular E4 reality programme has been bursting with explosive drama, shocking revelations and heated clashes.

This week, Steven and spouse Nelly have found themselves in the eye of the storm, particularly after the outspoken groom was spotted championing fellow bride Julia-Ruth last night, leaving Nelly utterly stunned.

During tonight's (October 27) episode, viewers witnessed another commitment ceremony where the previous evening's dinner party drama was laid bare.

Things are not looking good for the couple however Nelly is still keen on working on their marriage as she decided that she wanted to stay in the experiment, reports OK!.

When Steven's turn arrived, he confessed: "I would have loved to see more progress from last week for sure. I know I need to provide more but I am obviously willing to make it work because I do like you."

The groom then left everyone reeling when he declared: "So I've put stay...for now." Nelly clearly hadn't anticipated this response as she queried: "For now... Are you on the verge of leaving?"

Steven pulled no punches in his response, as he said: "This is the last week where things need to click for both of us. If I can't provide for Nelly what she needs for me and vice versa, then I need to tap out of the experiment."

Nelly was visibly shaken as she responded: "I've asked you so many times, what do I need to give you and you said you didn't want anything."

Steven declared: "Just be yourself." Nelly quickly interjected and retorted: "But I am being myself, I'm being completely myself.

"To become a team we need to work in unison," Steven responded. "Stay for now means we've got a week and if I'm not giving you what you need, I need to go."

A stunned Nelly replied: "I don't really know what I can say to add on to that."

Expert Charlene Douglas chimed in: "It's ok. It sounds like it's a shock to you to hear what Steven is saying that if it doesn't work out after this week then he is going."

Struggling to find words, Nelly continued: "I didn't expect to hear 'for now'. I think I am just processing it all."

This development comes as viewers are convinced a cheating drama is unfolding between Steven and fellow bride Julia-Ruth, after she admitted feeling zero chemistry with her husband whilst being attracted to Steven instead.

The 29 year old dancer walked down the aisle with musician Divarni Balogun, also 29, but following several turbulent weeks, the pair have chosen to end their marriage and exit the experiment tonight.
