The Duchess of Sussex, 44, had flown to Paris for a tightly scheduled 48-hour visit that included front-row appearances at the Balenciaga show in support of designer Pierpaolo Piccioli. However, her trip quickly drew backlash online. Critics labeled the car video "bewildering" and "insensitive beyond belief."

Sources close to Meghan insisted that she was completely unaware of how close the car was to the tunnel, calling it "a hell of a stretch" to suggest that she deliberately chose that route.
