Four Strictly Come Dancing finalists are set to return to the dance floor for a group dance as part of this year's Blackpool specials.

The exciting news was announced during Thursday's episode of the sister show It Takes Two.

Strictly 2025 is flying by and the highly anticipated weekend filmed at the northern town is fast approaching.

The Blackpool special will be back on our screens on the 22 and 23 of November.

And fans will be over the moon to know that some of the show's favourites are making a comeback.

Ashley Roberts, 44 - who is best known for being part of the Pussycat Dolls - will be back on the dance floor to show off her moves.

Soap star Danny Mac, 37, is another star that will be back on the dance floor to show off their moves

Soap star Danny Mac, 37, The Wanted singer Jay McGuiness, 35, and actor Layton Williams, 31, are all set to team up with the Strictly pros once again to revisit some of the most iconic dances that have appeared on the show.

It's not the first time that the stars have danced at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom, so it will undoubtedly be a trip down memory lane.

On the subject of memory, if your Strictly trivia needs refreshing - Danny and Ashley were semi-finalists back in 2016 and 2018.

Danny danced alongside Oti Mabuse, 35, on the fourteenth and managed to place second behind Ore Oduba, 39, and Joanne Clifton, 42.

Ashley also placed second on the sixteenth series with dance partner Pasha Kovalev, 45.

Layton, meanwhile, reached the semi-finals more recently in 2023.

He danced with Nikita Kuzmin, 27.

Jay McGuiness, meanwhile, was crowned the Strictly champion when he appeared on the show a decade ago in 2015.

After revisiting some much-loved dances, all four are set to come together for a group dance that promises to combine elements of Jay and Ashley's Jives, Danny's Samba, and Layton's Quickstep.

Speaking about her return to the dance floor on Strictly, Ashley said: 'I'm so excited and grateful to be back on the shiny floor in Blackpool again.

'Nearly a decade later, let's see if these jive legs can still do their thing! Sequins always help, I'm sure.'

Danny added: 'Dancing in Blackpool was an absolute highlight of my time on Strictly.

'To be heading back up to The Tower Ballroom once again is as thrilling as it is terrifying, but I can't wait to be reunited with all the wonderful people who make this show.'

While Jay chimed in: 'I feel extremely lucky to be part of the Strictly alumni that are going to shake our booties again. I'm ready to have some fun with the old gang and the new gang.'

Layton said: 'I'm absolutely buzzing to be back on THE most iconic dance floor there is.

'Blackpool brings back so many fab memories and it's a true honour to be invited back... Let's hope I've still got it, eh?!'

Meanwhile, the latest season is set to heat up even further on Saturday when the remaining couples will put their dancing shoes to the test in a bid to earn their own place in the Blackpool Ballroom.

Lewis Cope, Vicky Pattison, Amber Davies, Karen Carney, George Clarke, Alex Kingston, La Voix and Balvinder Sopal are still battling it out for the Glitterball Trophy.

There will be a special tribute to the Golden Age of Hollywood - often associated with dance - between the Strictly pros and the dance troupe Diversity.

Not only that, viewers will be treated to a performance from Olly Murs, 41.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6:30pm and is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
