A Christian preacher risks prison time after allegedly spraying HIV-positive blood into the eyes of two hospital staff members. The 25-year-old, from North Carolina, USA, is currently facing two felony charges.

Kameron Gilchrist has been charged with two counts of assault or affray resulting in physical injury to emergency room staff, a Class H felony in North Carolina. Each count carries a maximum sentence of 39 months in prison, meaning Gilchrist could face up to 78 months (six years and six months) behind bars if convicted on both charges and given consecutive sentences.

The despicable incident took place at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina, on March 21.

According to his arrest warrant, while Gilchrist was receiving treatment, he "unlawfully, wilfully and feloniously did assault a hospital employee ... by spraying HIV blood into the eyes of victim," People reported.
