Stuart Pearce's heartbroken family paid a touching tribute to their son, who tragically passed away last week.

Harley Pearce, 21, was driving a tractor near his family home in Wiltshire when he lost control of the vehicle on a country road.

Gloucestershire Police confirmed after emergency services were called at around 2.30pm to a report of a collision involving a tractor on the A417 Old Birdlip Hill in Witcombe. However, Harley passed away at the scene.

A touching tribute remembered Harley as leaving an "unforgettable imprint on all who knew him" and as a "golden boy with an infectious smile".

The tribute concluded: "He will always be our shining star. Rest in Peace, our beautiful son and brother. You will never ever be forgotten."

Harley was one of two kids Pearce shared with his ex-wife Liz, the daughter of a Wiltshire pig farmer, who he married in 1993.

The couple also welcomed an older daughter, Chelsea. A non-traditional WAG, Liz was a keen horsewoman and kept former racehorses at stables close to the family home near Marlborough, Wiltshire.

Chelsea has followed in the footsteps of her mother as an equestrian and has regularly competed in eventing since 2010, including riding at three European Championships for Great Britain.

She is also a Personal Assistant for The Royal Household.

Harley had also fallen into his mother's line of work - and he ran his own company, Harley Pearce Agricultural Service, and worked on farms on the Wiltshire and Gloucestershire border.

Pearce and Liz went their separate ways in 2013, ending their 20-year marriage when the ex-footballer left the family home.

Pearce himself suffered a health scare earlier this year - when he fell ill on a plane home from the US.

The ex-England international had been stateside watching Rugby League when he started to experiencing chest pains.

The Las Vegas to Heathrow flight was diverted to St John's in Canada and he spent five days in hospital recovering.
