Campus placements and recruitment in general are seeing a major shift as AI-powered platforms transform hiring processes. Traditional campus placement in India is often characterised by manual data management, fragmented communication, and a lack of real-time access to data analytics for decision-making. AI-powered platforms are now centralising and automating the entire placement lifecycle.

The challenge for students today is to create personalised and compelling Curriculum Vitae (CVs) in a job market saturated with applicants and increasingly reliant on automated screening systems. If students responsibly use some AI tools, they can quickly generate ideas and refine their communication, making them more efficient and competitive.

Prof. O.R.S. Rao, Chancellor, ICFAI University, Sikkim

Prof. O.R.S. Rao is an academician, researcher, industry leader, and institution builder, with over 50 years of experience. He has a B.Tech.in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras, an MBA from IIM, Mumbai, and a Ph.D. in Management from ICFAI University, Dehradun. Prof. Rao has held leadership/Board positions in various sectors, including higher education, IT, manufacturing, and consulting, in reputed organisations such as BHEL, HCL Technologies, NIIT, Cyient, ABC Consultants, and GMR Group.

Vishal Sood, Founder & CEO, PLACECOM

Vishal Sood is the Founder and CEO of PLACECOM. He co-founded AlmaBay originally to tackle alumni engagement, but over time, he pivoted toward the broader problem of placement inequity. PLACECOM emerged as the flagship offering. He is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad. Early in his career, he worked in derivatives trading in Singapore. By age 26, he had assumed leadership of the South Asia operations of a technology company.

Hitesh Gossain, AI and Education Advisor

Hitesh Gossain is an entrepreneur, advisor, and author working at the intersection of AI, education, and human potential. He partners with organisations and institutions to design AI-driven growth, learning, and talent development strategies, helping them scale with insight and purpose.

An alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, Hitesh has over two decades of leadership experience across India, Singapore, and Dubai. He has set up the Asia GCC for global insurtech Ethos, led 1Lattice, a top consulting and analytics firm, and built two ventures focused on digital transformation and learning innovation.
