Though they're ultimately two different lenses, sports betting can provide some smart intel for fantasy football and how players are expected to perform -- after all, sportsbooks do an incredible amount of research to land at their lines. Each week, I serve all NFL gaming audiences by examining a handful of under-started fantasy options using BetMGM prop lines as a backdrop. Fade or follow? That's up to you!

OVER: Don't you dare pass that tray of meticulously prepared caramel apples to Rhamondre Stevenson this Halloween. Chances are strong that butterfingers will reward the scavenging pups hanging around the premises with a bounty of sweet treats. The incumbent in New England has already coughed up the pill twice, miscues that have him firmly buried in Mike Vrabel's doghouse. Fellow banana hands teammate Antonio Gibson also experienced ball security issues last week.

Hello, Henderson. Yes, the rookie was egregiously overdrafted. Woefully inefficient on a per-carry basis (RB58 in yards after carry per attempt), he's not remotely the steadfast RB2 most anticipated. However, his opportunity is now. Squaring off against a punchless Panthers defense, the greenhorn should break out. Carolina ranks No. 24 in rush expected points added (EPA) defense, yielding 5.67 yards per carry and 148.7 total yards per game to RBs. Specifically, Dave Canales' club is giving up 34.7 receiving yards per game to backs.

Most importantly for the wager above, Henderson netted at least 19 yards receiving yards in each of his prior three games. Expect more of the same. Seize the moment, rook!

Fantasy Forecast: As long as he wraps the rock effectively, Henderson should earn his highest opportunity share to date -- especially as a receiver. It's not wild to think he sprints out on at least 20 pass routes. Given the primo matchup, view the former Buckeye as an RB2 in 12-team PPR formats.

OVER: Those who desire instant gratification aren't thrilled with so many slow-starting rookies -- Golden very much included. However, those who've appropriately played the patience game with the Packers' pass catcher are about to be duly rewarded. For the love of the gaming gods, it's the feckless Cowboys. Only Miami ranks lower in dropback EPA D this season.

The 'Pokes have allowed the most fantasy points to WRs, yielding six total touchdowns and 41.4 half-PPR points to the position. Coming off a season-best four catches for 52 yards, and with Jayden Reed unplugged, Golden packs plenty of potential in 12-team formats. This should be his breakout performance. Calling Little D a "disaster" on defense is entirely too kind.

Fantasy Forecast: This is the mother of all WR matchups. Digging down, Golden is scheduled to exchange pleasantries most often with corner Kaiir Elam. The routinely crushed Cowboy has surrendered an 82.5% catch rate, the fourth-most yards of any cornerback (209) and a stratospheric 137.5 passer rating to his assignments. If everything clicks, the first-year wideout could reward backers with a Fort Knox return. Think of him as a high upside WR3. Betty White agrees.

OVER: With a bucket firmly gripped, this bettor enthusiastically heads back to the well on Williams. His passing TD prop is plus money against one of the most forgiving secondaries in the league. Yes, please. Pete Carroll's club enters Week 4 No. 27 in pass EPA defense, surrendering 7.83 pass yards per attempt, 245.3 pass yards per game, four pass TDs and the seventh-most fantasy points to signal callers. Peering into the microscope, I see that not one Raiders DB ranks inside the top 100 in pass coverage grade, according to Pro Football Focus. In his heyday, Rex Grossman would've teed off against this unit. OK, maybe not.

Justin Herbert is the only multi-TD passer allowed by the Raiders through three games, but Williams has excelled on his opportunities inside the 20. So far this season, he's QB4 in red-zone completion percentage. He's also uncorked with considerable success downfield. In his first three contests, he achieved over twice. Where are the outspoken haters now?

Fantasy Forecast: The former No. 1 overall pick's rapid ascension isn't an anomaly. He's surrounded by a sensational arsenal and has a competent offensive architect in Ben Johnson calling the shots. He's here to stay as a QB1, even in 10-team formats. If the star you drafted ahead of him is struggling (see Prescott, Dak), demote and promote the former Trojan. Williams has a jackpot upside in Sin City. Bear ... UP!

OVER: Without all-world wide receiver CeeDee Lamb in uniform, Dallas' over-the-middle dirty worker ventures into rare must-start waters. As witnessed last week in Chicago, he became Dak Prescott's middleman maestro when Lamb exited with a high-ankle sprain. His PPR production had backers partying sans pants. In total, he squeezed 13-of-14 looks, totaling 83 yards. That may seem highly unusual, but in Week 2, he was equally superb, plucking 9-of-12 targets for 78 yards against the Giants. Talk about statistical stimulation.

Green Bay is an unforgiving No. 6 in dropback EPA defense. However, they've yielded the fourth-most receptions (21) to plus-sized targets. Sam LaPorta and Zach Ertz each tallied six catches against them. Their efforts were just shy of the needed mark, but Ferguson's mammoth target share should continue. Plus money on the over? Call this betting dude a willing sucker.

Fantasy Forecast: Whether on quick-hit first reads or downfield explosions, Ferguson needs to be in fantasy starting lineups no matter league size. Not remotely tied to the line of scrimmage, he's averaged a hefty 33.0 routes per game. As tracked at PlayerProfiler, Dallas' rising star is also No. 9 in catchable target rate at the position. Seven snatches should be the minimum. Unquestionably, he's Dak's most trustworthy intermediate-field weapon.

UNDER: Stop trying to make "fetch" happen, Evans. For you #MandatoryMontgomery disparagers in attendance, it has very much occurred. Sorry, NOT sorry. At RB6 in total fantasy rusher scoring and coming off running roughshod through the Ravens (12-151-2), this scribe's ultimate man-crush has delivered on the internalized hype. He and Jahmyr Gibbs are again rocking in concert, operating behind Detroit's gap-creating line. A duo on par with The White Stripes, the pair will usually wail on the whammy bar.

However, Cleveland makes all rushers play off-key. See the rather uneventful rushing returns of Chase Brown (21-43-1), Derrick Henry (11-23-0) and Josh Jacobs (16-30-0). Overall, the Fightin' Clay Matthews are No. 8 in rush EPA D, conceding only 2.25 yards per carry, 68.0 total yards per game, one total touchdown and the second-fewest fantasy points to RBs. Suffocating.

Fantasy Forecast: Someone check this Montgomery lover's temperature. Admittedly, speaking negatively about the pet player is squeamish, but it's entirely warranted. The Browns are impenetrable in the trenches. Among qualifying defenders, Grant Delpit, Myles Garrett and Devin Bush each rank inside the top 20 in run stops, according to PFF. Yes, "Mandatory" is RB3 in yards after contact per attempt (4.82), but this week, he's the definition of "TD or bust." A final line similar to his Week 1 at Green Bay (11-24-0, 4-18-0) is very possible.

Week 4 fantasy football intel, predictions using player prop lines
