Jung Woo-joo, 2025 Draft Pick, Helps Team Reach Korean Series After 19 Years, Aims for Title in 26

[OSEN=Daejeon, Lee Hoo-kwang reporter] The 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO Korean Series Media Day will be held at 2 p.m. on the 25th at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul.

Yeom Kyung-yup, the manager of LG, which is aiming for its second consecutive overall championship two years after winning the 2023 season, along with captain Park Hae-min and Im Chan-gyu, will attend.

Kim Kyung-moon, the manager of Hanwha, which has reached the Korean Series stage for the first time in 19 years since 2006, along with captain Chae Eun-seong and Jung Woo-joo, will also attend.

Jung Woo-joo, 19 years old, who was selected second in the first round by Hanwha in the 2025 rookie draft, made a strong impression with a 0 ERA over two games in his postseason debut during the playoffs. He has further earned the honor of attending the Korean Series Media Day and will now be able to personally declare his resolve to challenge for the championship, marking the first time in 26 years since 1999 that the team has aimed for the title.

The managers and players from both teams are expected to share their resolve for the Korean Series and answer questions from the media.

Separately from the media questions, the KBO has also arranged a session to collect and answer questions from fans about the managers and players of both teams through the official KBO Instagram account.

Winners of the question draw will receive a small gift later, and the Media Day will provide an opportunity to hear the players' answers directly. Detailed participation methods for the event can be confirmed through the official KBO Instagram account.
