FRISCO -- Cowboys pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney said Friday he's ready to play in Sunday's game against the Bears.

Clowney, who signed with the Cowboys this week, doesn't know how many snaps he'll play but this isn't the first time he's made a season debut without the luxury of training camp.

"I've been practicing, we'll see how it goes," Clowney said after Friday's practice. "It's not my first time. I've done it about three times. Whoever they got playing man, I'm just looking forward for the opportunity to get out there and get going."

Clowney has made season debuts for Tennessee, Cleveland and Baltimore without participating in training camp.

"It's just football," he said.

Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said on 105.3 The Fan (KRLD-FM) Clowney will be a game-time decision.

"After practice and talking about it today it's probably a final game-time decision," Jones said. "But leaning toward him probably not playing this week."

Clowney also addressed his arrest on Sept. 12 in his native of Rock Hill, South Carolina. According to a Rock Hill police report, Clowney was charged with trespassing and failure to identify during a parking dispute at a relative's apartment complex as he was attending a nearby high school football game. During the dispute, an off-duty police officer working at the complex asked for Clowney's identification and he refused multiple times.

Clowney was irked about the story coming out "because nobody knows what happened, they just going off (the report) and (police) always get the last say. It happened and it was just a parking situation more than anything, and it escalated and if you know anything about South Carolina and where I'm from, you know how that can go. It can go left very fast and it went left."

Clowney said he was in jail for no more than 20 minutes before being released. He expects to attend court to dispute the charge. Clowney said this is the first time he's been arrested.
