The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) has confirmed that Jatuporn Na Lamphun, an unranked Thai tennis player, has been slapped with a lifetime ban and fined £84k ($115k) for breaching the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP).

Na Lamphun failed to respond to a notice of charge from the ITIA, which included allegations of facilitating or attempting to fix 22 matches between 2023 and 2024. He was also charged with offering or providing money in 18 of those matches and failing to cooperate with an ITIA investigation.

Having been provisionally suspended since December 2024, the 31-year-old did not reply to the proposed sanction in the notice of charge.

As a result, a lifetime ban was enforced as a deemed sanction on 20 August. Na Lamphun did not contest this punishment before an independent Anti-Corruption Hearing Officer.

He is now permanently barred from participating in, coaching at, or attending any tennis event authorised or sanctioned by the ATP, WTA, ITF, Tennis Australia, the French Tennis Federation, Wimbledon, the USTA, or any national association.

This isn't Na Lamphun's first brush with anti-corruption rules. In 2016, he served an 18-month suspension for similar offences and was fined £3.7k ($5k) by Independent Anti-Corruption Hearing Officer Ian Mill QC.

Then aged 22 and unranked, he admitted to three breaches of the programme, which prohibits betting on tennis matches, between July and November 2014.

Mr Nalamphun contested but was found guilty of an additional charge of failing to co-operate with a Tennis Integrity Unit Investigation, resulting in an 18-month suspension.

In his ruling, Mr Mill QC emphasised: "The full and timely co-operation by participants in TIU investigations is of paramount importance in the efforts being made by the TIU to eliminate corruption in professional tennis."

Both periods of ineligibility will run concurrently.
