Tom Aspinall will end a year of frustration tonight when he defends his UFC heavyweight world title.

Aspinall was crowned interim champion almost two years ago and had thought he had set up a clash with Jon Jones. But the American went on to fight Stipe Miocic before leaving Aspinall waiting while he made a decision on his future. Jones eventually retired - albeit briefly - as Aspinall was crowned champion by default.

The Brit is the favourite to beat Gane who has only lost to Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones in his MMA career. This is his third title shot and could well end up being his las chance. Here is everything you need to know about the UFC 321 main event - and the rest of the card...

Tom Aspinall and Ciryl Gane will clash later this evening at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The prelims are expected to begin at 3pm UK time (7am PT / 9am CT / 10am ET), with the main card following at 7pm BST (11am PT / 1pm CT / 2pm ET). In the main event, expect Gane to make the walk to the cage first at around 9:30pm UK time (4:30pm ET / 1:30pm PT / 3:30pm) with Aspinall to follow immediately after. The timings of all fights are subject to change and will depend on how long the undercard takes to complete.

Tom Aspinall: "The ultimate goal has been done a long time ago, which is to do this full time. I have been doing this full time for a long time now. That was the ultimate goal. Anything on top of that is good. As for being a long-reigning heavyweight champion? We will just see how it goes. But I am confident that I am the best fighter in the division. But it's heavyweight MMA. You never know what is going to happen. Well, there are two things that can happen - you can win or lose. You never really know. The heavyweight title is like a hot potato. People have dropped it left and right. It doesn't tend to stay around for you too long."
