New members highlight marathon ambition and daily running dedication

[OSEN=Park Hayoung reporter] Billy Tsuki and Lee Eun-ji have joined as new crew members of '극한84'.

In the episode of MBC's variety show '극한84' broadcast on the 14th, Kian84 and Kwon Hwa-woon were shown meeting potential crew candidates.

The first candidate to appear that day was Billy Tsuki. Tsuki said, "My father has been running marathons continuously, so I also run as a hobby. I run along the Han River every day."

However, Tsuki, who has never attempted a full-course marathon, stated, "If there's a crew, I want to challenge myself a bit. I feel a strong desire to do it. If I can't run, I'll feel like I've failed, so I can't afford to fail."

Emphasizing his determination, Tsuki added, "I like pushing my limits, which is why my personality is a bit tough. Even if my legs break, I'll keep running. It'll be fun."

Tsuki revealed that he ran nearly 120 km in July, maintaining a pace of 5-6 minutes per kilometer. He shared, "The longest I've ever run is 15 km."

When told that a full-course marathon might be difficult, Tsuki responded, "It's possible. I have a goal. My mindset is too strong; I'm not someone who gives up easily. I crossed the ocean to debut in Korea," showcasing his will to join the extreme crew.

The second candidate was Lee Eun-ji. She said, "I run every day of the week. Some days I run 3 km, others 5 km. My longest run has been 7 km." When Kwon Hwa-woon expressed concern that a full-course marathon would be challenging, Lee replied, "I'll do my best with the goal of finishing."

Kian84 introduced the two to the Medoc, the wine, Marathon in France. A unique feature of the Medoc Marathon is that participants must run in costumes matching the theme, and all refreshment stations are stocked with wine and various snacks, drawing attention.

Tsuki then confessed, "I have something to admit. My father participated in the Medoc Marathon. He finished it in 3 hours and 7 minutes," sharing footage of his father from 14 years ago.

Later, as the crew leader, Kian84 provided a special running lesson for the novice runners, Lee Eun-ji and Tsuki. Tsuki ran at a pace of 4 minutes per kilometer, matching Kian84's speed, while Lee challenged herself with a 7-minute-per-kilometer pace.
