Mann to speak at SK AI Summit, highlights TelClaude's doubled accuracy with SKT data

Ben Mann, co-founder of Anthropic, evaluated, "South Korea is one of the most anticipated AI (artificial intelligence) markets globally." Anthropic, the developer of the large language model (LLM) Claude, is considered a rival to OpenAI. Mann will serve as a keynote speaker at the SK AI Summit 2025, which will be held for two days starting on the 3rd of next month. Ahead of the event, an interview with SK Telecom was released on the 23rd through the SK Telecom Newsroom.

Mann stated, "Human-level AI will emerge within the next few years." He added that companies should adopt the mindset of "skating to where the puck is going," emphasizing preparation for future markets and trends rather than the present. He advised, "What seems impossible today could become routine tomorrow," and noted, "Companies that begin experimenting now will already have the necessary systems and expertise when AI reaches human-level capabilities."

He also assessed the South Korean market as "one of the most anticipated AI markets globally." He explained, "The combination of technological infrastructure, execution speed, and high standards for quality creates an environment where AI innovation can flourish in ways difficult to replicate elsewhere." He highlighted, "South Korean partners like SKT, Wrtn, and Law&Company are demonstrating excellence in proactive approaches," and noted that South Korea maintains a high global AI adoption rate with a culture of rapid technology acceptance.

Regarding TelClaude, the telecom-specific LLM co-developed with SKT, he emphasized, "After training on SKT's telecom data, model accuracy improved by more than double." He added, "We developed a method enabling all telecom companies to customize swiftly without vast datasets." Supporting Korean, English, Japanese, and Spanish is also an advantage, allowing global telecom companies to use a single AI system.

At the SK AI Summit 2025, Mann plans to present three elements of transformative agents: "situational intelligence" that understands organizational environments and learns from experience, "long-term execution" for complex workflows, and "genuine collaboration" that transparently explains reasoning and adapts to user styles. Mann diagnosed, "Agents are at an inflection point where they transcend mere task performers to become true collaborators."
