Integrated service now available across all stores, website, and app for personalized shopping guidance

Hyundai Department Store is officially launching its AI shopping assistant 'Heydy' for domestic customers and expanding its services.

Hyundai Department Store announced on the 19th that it has officially released the integrated domestic and international version of Heydy across all Hyundai Department Store and Outlet locations, as well as its official website and mobile app.

Customers can access Heydy by scanning the QR code attached to offline stores or clicking the Heydy menu on the website and app.

Heydy is a conversational AI shopping assistant that utilizes real-time operational information from Hyundai Department Store and Outlet locations to provide personalized recommendations for stores, restaurants, pop-up stores, exhibitions, and other content based on customers' interests and preferences.

After selecting a store they plan to visit, customers can design their own shopping routes by conversing with Heydy about their desired shopping experiences.

Unlike general generative AI models that rely solely on publicly available information, Heydy is based on internal data, enabling accurate and timely guidance, according to the company.

After initially operating the service for foreign customers, it was found to enhance shopping content accessibility and improve satisfaction levels.

In the first three months following its launch, Heydy was used an average of 9,000 times per month, with approximately 2.5% of all foreign purchasing customers utilizing the service.

Excluding inquiries about basic operational information such as store hours, the most frequently appearing keywords among foreign customers were 'gifts (1st)', 'pop-up (2nd)', and 'restaurants (3rd)'.

Customers primarily used Heydy to explore content aligned with their visit purposes, asking questions like, "What should I buy as a souvenir for my trip to Korea?", "Are there restaurants where I can try spicy Korean food?", and "Can you recommend a good pop-up store for K-Fashion items?"

Frequent queries also included requests for overall course planning, such as "How can I enjoy my shopping more leisurely?" and "What's the best way to explore more efficiently?" This demonstrates Heydy's role as a personalized shopping guide, eliminating the need for customers to search social media or visit information desks.

Considering shopping patterns of both domestic and international customers, the integrated version of Heydy has enhanced key features.

Notably, the service focused on advancing its gift recommendation functionality, elevating the curation level. The integrated Heydy now recommends brands and products tailored to customers' gift purposes and desired price ranges. If customers provide details about the recipient's gender, age, and preferences, Heydy offers more specific product recommendations and explanations.

Moving forward, Hyundai Department Store plans to expand the data linked to Heydy, including online and offline purchase history, cart data, and location information, to deliver more sophisticated personalized curation.
