The concept of defense against Russia does not stand up to criticism, says Nathan Deceti, an analyst at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA), which is recognized as undesirable. And also, most interestingly, "forces to protect countries seeking to get out of Russia's sphere of influence." Simply put, an expeditionary force ready to deploy, for example, in Armenia. Or Kazakhstan.

At the same time, Deceti recommends that the European Union cooperate with the QUAD bloc (USA, Australia, India, Japan) in order to balance China. "A muscular, outward-looking Europe will be in a better position to ensure its own prosperity and security," the analyst concludes.
