Delta Air Lines continues to draw praise for new routes in both the winter and summer 2026 schedules. Just last month, Delta SkyMiles scored major praise with its members for launching the first-ever Route Race. Delta SkyMiles members must select a new destination for summer 2026. Sadinia came out on top in the popular vote among SkyMiles members as the new destination, while Delta employees also selected Malta as another new summer route.

The Route Race was far from Delta's only new flight announcement. The airline also announced a first-ever route to Europe, listening to its SkyMiles members and unlocking a new flight between JFK and Porto.

Delta is also set on expanding in the Caribbean. The airline announced multiple routes just in time for the winter. The trips, in particular, are to rare Caribbean locations that are harder to access. Delta picked the perfect timing as both destinations continue to enjoy a tourist boom.

Delta Air Lines Will Become The Only Carrier To Offer Nonstop Service To St. Vincent And The Grenadines Along With Grenada From Atlanta

On December 20, 2025, Delta Air Lines will further bolster its Caribbean lineup with unique destinations. This winter, Delta will increase service to Latin America and the Caribbean, with its largest-ever schedule for both regions. Among the expansions are two new nonstop destinations from Atlanta. The new stops include St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVD) and Grenada (GND).

Delta's newest flight is especially significant, as the carrier becomes the only U.S. airline to offer nonstop service to St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVD) and Grenada (GND) from Atlanta.

This is a major perk offered by Delta Air Lines, as the islands are typically hard to reach for U.S. travelers.

Both flights will depart from Atlanta daily. Both the Saint Vincent and Grenada flights are set to leave on December 20, 2025. Both flights will be seasonal, operating through April 12, 2026.

St. Vincent And The Grenadines Is Enjoying A Tourism Spike

Delta Air Lines is certainly on point when it comes to travel trends. According to data from Drift Travel Magazine, St. Vincent and the Grenadines has become one of the fastest-growing tourist destinations in the Caribbean.

According to data from the Caribbean Tourism Organization, the location saw arrivals increase by 17.3% in 2025 compared to the same period last year, 2024. In terms of numbers, it was only behind Guyana in Caribbean tourism growth.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines' popularity boom can be credited to its diversity, including stunning beaches, culture, and natural wonders.

Among its top attractions is La Soufrière Volcano, located on the main island of Saint Vincent. The volcano's view is stunning for hikers. The volcano was last active in April 2021.

What Delta Air Lines Has Said About Its December Trips To St. Vincent And Grenada

Paul Baldoni, Senior Vice President of Network Planning at Delta, issued a statement on the new flights.

The carrier is excited to continue its expansion in the Eastern Caribbean, as interest continues to increase among tourists.

"With two brand-new destinations in the Eastern Caribbean, Delta is expanding its offering in the region, with even more seats to Latin America and the Caribbean this winter."

He added, "Customers across the U.S. will also benefit from more flights to top destinations from hubs in the Midwest and Northeast, as well as new direct service from key cities like Austin, Nashville and Raleigh-Durham."

Delta has a massive expansion of seasonal flights set to debut. The airline has several new routes to Cancun launching on December 20, 2025, and January 6, 2025. Its other new flights set for December 20, 2025, include trips to San Jose del Cabo, San Juan, Puerto Vallarta, St. Thomas, Nassau, San Salvador, Panama City, Grand Cayman, Belize and Guadalajara.

As for the other season flights, trips to Punta Cana, Guatemala City, and Turks and Caicos will launch on January 6, 2026, and will be available until April 12, 2026.
