For thrill-seekers, nearby destinations like Dhundi, Sissu, Marhi, Koksar and the North Portal of the Atal Tunnel offer stunning mountain vistas and exhilarating snow sports -- ideal escapes for winter enthusiasts.

After a quiet Dasehra, local hoteliers are optimistic. September's poor road conditions had led to a 30 per cent to 35 per cent drop in business, but Diwali is expected to bring a surge in tourist footfall and an occupancy rate of 60 per cent to 70 per cent is projected. To elevate the festive spirit, hotels are planning DJ nights and traditional Kullvi Nati dance performances, promising guests fun-filled celebration.

According to Himachal Pradesh Travel Agents Association president Hira Lal and chairman Budhi Prakash Thakur, advance bookings are being made from across India, particularly from Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi, Mumbai, West Bengal, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh. The tourist influx is expected to help local businesses bounce back from the recent tourism lull.
